Espadas Armada Nacional
Las espadas son el símbolo del mando en la Armada Nacional de Colombia. En esta vitrina se observa una espada de oficial y otra de almirante, esta última con mayor nivel de ornamentación.
Su uso proviene de la tradición de la Royal Navy, cuyos oficiales contribuyeron a la formación de la moderna Armada colombiana entre 1934 y 1939. Este legado refleja el origen reciente de la institución naval en Colombia, marcada por circunstancias históricas complejas.
National Navy Swords
Swords are the symbol of command in the Colombian Navy. This display case features an officer’s sword and an admiral’s sword, the latter being more elaborately decorated.
