Guerra de Corea
La participación de Colombia en la Guerra de Corea marcó un punto de inflexión en la historia de la Armada Nacional. Entre 1950 y 1955, buques y tripulaciones colombianas participaron en operaciones navales dentro de una fuerza multinacional liderada por las Naciones Unidas.
Este módulo reúne mapas, documentos, objetos históricos y testimonios que permiten comprender el contexto del conflicto y las experiencias vividas por los marinos colombianos durante su permanencia en Asia.
La experiencia adquirida durante la guerra contribuyó al fortalecimiento institucional de la Armada Colombiana, mejorando sus capacidades operacionales y consolidando su presencia en el ámbito internacional.
Colombia in the Korean War
Colombia’s participation in the Korean War marked a turning point in the history of the National Navy. Between 1950 and 1955, Colombian ships and crews took part in naval operations as part of a multinational force led by the United Nations.
This exhibit brings together maps, historical documents, artifacts, and testimonies that help visitors understand the conflict and the experiences of Colombian sailors serving in Asia.
The knowledge gained during the war contributed to the institutional strengthening of the Colombian Navy, improving its operational capabilities and reinforcing its international presence.
